Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born on March 4 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara is the proud recipient of many awards that include a Genie Award. In 2018, she was named to the rank of an Officer of Canada. She was also presented with the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was a renowned actor when she joined in 1974 of The Second City, an comedy troupe that was based in Toronto. She was a part of the principal cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara was a part of Candy in the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984). She won the attention of critics both for her writing and acting skills and was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
