Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most well-known work is her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and with English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
